How you can help a student succeed in school

Our Library is seeking volunteers to be “Homework Helpers” at a few of our branches. You could assist students in first through 12th grade with homework assignments. Students drop in when they need help in English, history, math, science, social studies or other subjects.

You could make a huge difference in someone’s life by volunteering for just a few hours a week. We are especially in need of volunteers at the Beacon Hill, Delride, Columbia, High Point, NewHolly and Rainier Beach branches. Volunteers must have completed at least one year of college and have experience assisting children and teens as tutor, teacher, family member or in some other capacity. Call the Library’s volunteer services coordinator at 206-386-4664 or visit our volunteer information page. One more thing: THANK YOU!
