I love eaudio books and use NetLibrary books extensively. The last couple of months, however, I have found the search engine not working well, browsing OK. It’s even worse with Overdrive books. Hope someone looks into these problems, very frustrating.

Jacque;
Thanks for the heads up. I’m forwarding your comment to our IT department. This is something we really need to know.

Hi Jaque,
Thanks for letting us know about the issues you encountered. Can you tell us in a little more detail what you used to be able to do to search for these items that is no longer working? It would help us better troubleshoot the probelm.
You can email us at:

Thanks,

The “not a Mac” bit is somewhat untrue. It should actually read, “Windows and Linux operating systems only” or something to that effect. Many people, including myself, run Windows on their Macs.

Hi David,
While you can access ebooks (text files) from NetLibrary on Macs, sadly, you can’t yet access eaudiobooks from NetLibrary on Macs. The version of Windows Media Player available for Macs is not compatible with the digital rights management for these audio files.Please see the help files from NetLibrary:
http://netlibrary.com/Help/DisplayTopic.aspx?Name=General/FaqEaudiobooks“Q: Can I download and play an eAudiobook on a Mac?
A: No. eAudiobooks cannot be played on Macs because the latest version of Window Media Player available for Macs (version 9) is based on Windows Media Rights Manager version 1.3. We use version 2.x licenses for downloadable eAudiobooks in order to maintain a high level of security.”Thanks,
Toby
