One of my favorite books from last year. DJ Darky goes on a quest to East Germany to find the reclusive jazz musician who can provide him with the one note that will complete his personal musical opus. The language in this light but deep novel hits the perfect rhythm, and the result is often hilarious, whether he’s describing his strange German girlfriends or the amazing collection of sounds in his mind.~ Wally B.
