Summer is more than half over, which means that the Library’s Summer Reading Program is reaching its final weeks.
What does that mean to you? Well, it means that we have only the month of August to reach our reading goals at all of our libraries.
We are actually pretty close to meeting our goal for books read by adults. While our total goal for books read this summer is 148,000 books, adults just need to read 12,500 books — we’re already at 8,500. That means we only need to read another 4,000 books this month.
So sign up online or stop by your branch library to add your books read to our tally. We can do it, Seattle!
Oh, and books read to your children or your dogs totally count!
