Summer reading: Suggestions from South Park Branch readers

These are just a sampling of the reviews from readers at our South Park Branch:

Olive Kitteridge  by Elizabeth Strout
A wonderful collection of stories about a small town in Maine. Olive Kitteridge, a cranky, volatile and tender hearted woman is the common thread, whether her acquaintances and family know it or not. I highly recommend this.

Lipstick in Afghanistan by Roberta Gately
A nurse working in Afghanistan post 9-11 finds out much about herself and the people she meets in her job. The lipsticks play a part in all that.

Gone Missing by Linda Castillo
Several Amish teens have gone missing. The police chief was raised in a Amish community and tries to find the children.  A very unexpected, horrifying ending.
