Seattle v. Denver in the READING BOWL!

We know who will win the Super Bowl on Sunday, but which city reads more?

We know the answer to that, too, but in the spirit of sportsmanship, we challenged Denver Public Library to a Twitter Reading Bowl to see who can get more people tweeting about what they’re reading. They accepted the challenge, and WE’RE ON!

If you’re on Twitter, write a tweet with the title/author of what you’re reading, and be sure to use these tags:

 #ReadingBowl,
#SEAreads
and @SPLBuzz

(Slip in a #GoHawks or @Seahawks if you have room!) We get points for each #SEAreads tweeted. (Our opponent is counting #DENreads #Timetoride — and both teams use #ReadingBowl.)

You can tweet a new #SEAreads #ReadingBowl with each book you’re reading.

The wager? Whoever wins the Reading Bowl will enjoy smug satisfaction, as well as knowing that the non-winning library (because, of course, NO library is ever a loser), will do a prominent display in their Central Library of books/movies/music featuring the other city. In other words, on Monday morning, the Denver Public Library will be doing a Seattle spotlight display.

Please be sure to play along on Twitter, and ask your friends and family to do the same. The game’s on NOW and we’ll count all #SEAreads tweets up until the Super Bowl game is over, and the Seattle celebrating begins.
