Every month, librarians across the country contribute to LibraryReads, a site that features top ten lists of new, noteworthy books. These lists cover books across all genres that are often missing from other lists, from self-help books to biographies to romance. Here are some recent romance favorites from our nation’s librarians.
Sixth Grave on the Edge by Darynda Jones
Yes, this is the sixth entry in the series, so if you haven’t started yet with First Grave on the Right, rest assured that this genre-bending adventure keeps getting better! Prepare for plenty of humor, horror, hijinks and heat with Charley Davidson, a private investigator who also happens to be a Grim Reaper.
Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen
Allen is a nice reading match for fans of Alice Hoffman and Joanne Harris, as well as Southern writers like Fannie Flagg. If you are in search of a lovely and tranquil escape, look no further than Lost Lake.
No Good Duke Goes Unpunished by Sarah MacLean
MacLean had a banner year in 2013, winning the RITA Award for Best Historical Romance Novel. She remains a favorite of librarians in the third installment of her Rule of Scoundrels series. This time around, MacLean creates a conniving heroine that you’ll love to hate, but root for just the same as she tangles with a brooding and tortured hero.
How to Run with a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper
How can anyone resist this title? On the run from a dangerous situation, Anna’s life gets entwined with a sexy and protective bounty hunter named Caleb, who happens to be a werewolf. Don’t forget to check out How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf and The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf.
