Zane has a well-earned reputation for scintillating erotic romance featuring Black characters and candid sexual descriptions. Her latest from past year pairs a damaged high school principal with a too-good-to-be-true surgeon.

 

 

 

 

Straddling the Line by Jaci Burton

I’ve mentioned Jaci Burton’s sports-themed romances in several previous posts, and Burton is still turning up the heat on and off the field with her latest in the Play-by-Play series. No prior reading is necessary to enjoy this title, though there are several quick mentions of previous couples.

 

 

 

Venus in Furs by Leopold Sacher-Masoch

The books I’ve shared so far were published within the last year, but why not try something older – much older! Leopold Sacher-Masoch’s classic novel from 1870 established the term “masochism,” based on his last name. Numerous Library locations have recently reordered this influential and once controversial title.
