Bus Reads for January

Bus reads is back with a twist! We want to hear from you! Share what you’ve read during your commute: whether on a bus, a train, or the light rail. To mix it up I’ll incorporate reviews from you, our patrons, into future Bus Reads columns! I may even see you on the bus!

Here are my January bus reads:

The Farm by Tom Rob Smith

This book was so amazingly good; it had that unreliable narrator thing going for it and was a page turner to boot. Daniel’s parents have retired to a small village in Sweden, but that idyllic life is shattered when Daniel receives separate phone calls: the first from his dad telling him his mother is crazy and has been committed; the second his mom calling released from the psych ward and heading to London saying everything your father said is a lie.

Mary Wept Over the Feet of Jesus by Chester Brown

A look at prostitution in the Bible, viewing it from a different angle: liberation and freedom rather than oppression and judgement.

YAY!! My job is complete when I can make a to-read list longer.
