When would you like your local neighborhood library to be open? How did your use of libraries change during the pandemic? Which Library services are most important to you and your community?
The Seattle Public Library wants to hear from you. Please take a moment to complete our new Levy Priority Survey.
In 2019, Seattle voters overwhelmingly passed the most recent Library Levy, which promised expanded hours at our neighborhood branches beginning in 2020. Those plans were disrupted by COVID-19, which forced the Library to close all of our branches for more than a year.
While all Library branches have reopened, we know that Seattle residents are facing a much different set of circumstances now than they were in 2019 and are using their libraries differently as a result of the pandemic.

The Levy Priority Survey will help us understand what Seattle needs as we emerge from the pandemic and how we should plan to expand our open hours to best fulfill the promises we made in the 2019 Library Levy. But we can’t do this without hearing directly from you.
The Survey is open now and will run until November 8. It takes about 10 minutes to complete and is available in eight languages. Anyone who is eligible for a library card with The Seattle Public Library may take the survey, but you don’t have to have a Library card to take it.
Please take the Levy Priority Survey today and help us adapt to the changing needs of our city. You can also take it in a print version at your nearest Library branch, with staff ready to assist you. And you can always call us with questions at 206-386-4636.
You can also help us spread the word to your contacts on social media by reposting our survey promotions on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Every little bit helps to make sure our hours and services reflect the needs of our patrons.
