Clarion West presents Fonda Lee

Fonda Lee is the World Fantasy Award-winning author of the epic urban fantasy “Green Bone Saga” as well as the acclaimed young adult science fiction novels “Zeroboxer,” “Exo,” and “Cross Fire.” This event is supported by The Seattle Public Library Foundation, author series sponsors the Gary and Connie Kunis Foundation and Seattle City of Literature, and is presented in partnership with University Book Store.
Virtual Writers Read

This monthly reading series features local writers reading from their diverse repertoires of poetry, short stories, novels and essays. It is presented in partnership with African-American Writers’ Alliance on the second Sunday of the month.

Bestselling author Daniel James Brown (“The Boys in the Boat”) will talk with Densho’s Executive Director Tom Ikeda and Michael Shiosaki about Brown’s latest book, “Facing the Mountain: An Inspiring Story of Japanese American Patriots in World War II.” Presented in partnership with Elliott Bay Book Company and Densho, this event is supported by The Seattle Public Library Foundation and the Gary and Connie Kunis Foundation.
Clarion West Presents Annalee Newitz & Charlie Jane Anders
From 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, Central Library and online
Science journalist Annalee Newitz, author of “Four Lost Cities: A Secret History of the Urban Age” and the novels “The Future of Another Timeline” and Lambda-Award winning “Autonomous,” will read with Charlie Jane Anders, author of “Victories Greater Than Death.” Anders’ TED Talk, “Go Ahead, Dream About the Future,” earned 700,000 views in its first week. Newitz and Anders also co-host the podcast “Our Opinions Are Correct.” Presented in partnership with University Book Store, this event is supported by The Seattle Public Library Foundation and author series sponsors the Gary and Connie Kunis Foundation and Seattle City of Literature.
