More Manga Now Available Through Hoopla!

Manga lovers rejoice! Hoopla has expanded its offerings and now includes many titles from Kodansha. This includes Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail, and some of my personal favorites:

Princess Jellyfish by Akiko Higashimura

This is a delightful read for anyone who is interested in fashion, geek girl culture, and life in Tokyo. When Tsukimi moves into Amamizukan, she believes she has found a safe haven for someone as awkward and obsessed with jellyfish as her. All her roommates have their own special interests, and a general aversion to beautiful, put-together women who wear makeup and fancy clothes. Then she meets someone who will turn all of their lives upside down.

A Silent Voice Vol. 1 by Yoshitoki Oima

Six years ago, Shoya and his friends cruelly bullied Shoko, a girl who couldn’t hear, into leaving their elementary school. Now Shoko is back, and Shoya has to figure out if he can make up for his past mistakes.

Chi’s Sweet Home by Konami Kanata

Anyone who loves cats will enjoy this adorable short series about a kitten who gets lost, and then is rescued by a family who live in an apartment, where pets are not allowed.

Sweetness and Lightning by Gido Amagakure

Widower Kouhei is doing his best to raise his young daughter Tsumugi alone, but with his job as a math teacher and lack of cooking skills, it can be a real struggle. With the help from a student and her chef mother, they begin a magical journey of learning, recreating remembered dishes and new feasts for Tsumugi’s growing appetite.
