Museum Pass Program Will Pause Starting Tuesday, Dec. 31

The Seattle Public Library’s popular Museum Pass program, which offers Library cardholders free admission to participating museums and cultural organizations, will be paused temporarily beginning Tuesday, Dec 31.

The vendor we currently use to manage the reservations is discontinuing their service on short notice. We apologize for the short notice and the inconvenience of this service disruption.

This means that new reservations are not available for dates after Tuesday, Dec. 31. Existing reservations will be honored by participating organizations, but patrons won’t be able to access the system after the end of the year. If you have reserved a Museum Pass, we encourage you to download your passes before Tuesday, Dec. 31 to ensure you can access and use them.

Dec. 27 update: SPL has found a new Museum Pass vendor and will be reactivating the service in the next few weeks, but again, it will be temporarily paused.

We will update this post again once the timeline for the restoration is confirmed. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

If you have questions about your Museum Pass reservations, you can email museumpass@spl.org for assistance.
